I have on multiple occasions sorted through my closet to find, dresses, pants, tops, shoes and bags that I have neglected or have no use for anymore. The vintage clothing that we have horded over the many years of styles is becoming overwhelming and now is just cluttering your closet. It’s extremely hard to part ways with or throw away any of our classic pieces in our wardrobe. Instead of throwing away or giving away these precious clothes that have unfortunately become useless to your every day style these days. So the solution to this major problem is to use consignment shops instead of just throwing away your clothes that you spend your hard earned money on. Consignment shops allow you to get rid of your old fashions and sells then to new customers to add to their fashion collection, and you receive a portion of the sale.
1. Plato’s closet
Plato’s closet is a consignment shop that focuses mainly on buying, teen or young adult apparel from you. Plato’s closet accepts a good majority of both young men and young women clothing. Since they cannot accept every piece of clothing you brought in, one of Plato’s associates will search through your clothes to see what things are stylish, in good condition, appropriate for Plato’s customers. During this time, they encourage you to look around and find new buys for very cheap prices. Once they are done, sorting through the clothes you want to sell, they show you what Plato’s can accept at that time and then offer you a portion of price.
2. Clothes Mentor
Clothes Mentor is a great consignment shop to sell your unwanted clothing to. Clothes Mentor is concentrated on buying more business attire, woman like clothing. The Clothes Mentor associate searches through your clothes to sell and selects the pieces that they believe will be appealing to the sophisticated woman customers and the pieces that will sell in the Clothes Mentor store within a short period of time. Then while you browse through the already stuffed store of discounted gently used clothes they are trying to sell, the associate comes up with an offer of what they can and cannot accept. They then offer you a set portion of the amount of money that they believe they can sell your clothes for.
